Wednesday, May 28, 2014 – Field Crews from the Burpee Museum of Natural History working at the Hanksville-Burpee Dinosaur Quarry have excavated a piece of an ankylosaur’s armor, an osteoderm, likely from the Late Jurassic given the known age of local sediment. So far at least 10 osteoderms have been excavated and Burpee Crews are continuing the dig.
